In China, silk symbolises beauty and is associated with softness the world over. This attribute of silk was discovered in a Japanese factory, where the hands of workers who made silk fabrics were found to be strikingly beautiful, youthful and soft. Silk attracts moisture from the air and is therefore excellent for hydrating the skin.
